Rene J. Dupart

Rene J. Dupart is a senior litigation attorney with more than 13 years of experience in complex civil litigation, with a particular emphasis on warranty product liability, commercial disputes, real estate matters, and trial advocacy. For the past nine years, he has concentrated his practice on litigation under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (California Lemon Law), representing both consumers and manufacturers. This dual perspective gives him a rare and valuable understanding of how warranty cases are built, challenged, and won.

Rene has extensive experience prosecuting and defending complex civil motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to compel discovery, fee motions, and other dispositive filings, making him a seasoned Los Angeles lemon law lawyer. He is well versed in trial preparation and has served as trial counsel in state and federal courts throughout California. Rene’s path to the legal profession is marked by discipline, leadership, and resilience. Born in the Bordeaux region of France, he spent his childhood between Casablanca and Bordeaux before moving to the United States at age six. He is a dual French and American citizen and fluent in French. Before attending law school, Rene served as a combat soldier in the French Army’s 5th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Combat Company, eventually attaining the rank of Sergeant. His service included deployments to French Guiana, continental Europe, and an attachment to the French Foreign Legion’s 3rd Infantry Regiment. Those experiences shaped his steady presence, strong decision making, and unwavering work ethic, traits that define him as a litigator today.

After completing his military service, Rene returned to the United States, worked full time, and completed his education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice, with minors in Business Organizations and Sociology, from Chapman University in 2007. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2012. Prior to practicing law, Rene also served as an operational manager for several mid sized companies, supervising more than thirty employees and developing the leadership and organizational skills that now serve him well in litigation.

Outside the courtroom, Rene is an avid road cyclist and mountain bike enthusiast, as well as a passionate car enthusiast and amateur vehicle mechanic. His lifelong connection to vehicles and mechanics gives him a unique and practical understanding of the real world issues at the center of many warranty disputes.
